Description of Noopept

Noopept was first synthesized in 1996, almost 50 years after the first racetam.
Though strictly speaking it is not a racetam due to chemical differences. It is still grouped with the other racetams due to a very similar mechanisms of action.

It first started to gain popularity with the general public at around 2014 and it is currently one of the most popular synthetic nootropics in The United States, Canada, Australia and Northern Europe.
Not surprising as it builds on the reputation of the other racetams with a similar effects profile but with much greater potency, requiring on average a dose of only around 20mg.
